WHAT WE BELIEVE

WE BELIEVE IN THE SCRIPTURES (THE BIBLE)

We believe the Bible is inspired by God, that it is our supreme authority and our only guide for transforming our way of life. (2 Tim. 3:15-17)

WE BELIEVE IN GOD

We believe in one eternal God existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (Gen. 1:1; Deut. 6:4; John 4:24; Rom. 8:14-15)

WE BELIEVE IN JESUS CHRIST

We believe in the deity of our Lord Jesus Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, His miracles, His atoning death, His bodily resurrection, His ascension, and His glorious return. (Isaiah 7:14; John 1:1-18)

WE BELIEVE IN THE HOLY SPIRIT

We believe the Holy Spirit is the third person of the Trinity, the Comforter of the believer. His work produces spiritual fruit and power to witness. (Gal. 5:22-23; Acts 1:8)

WE BELIEVE IN THE EXISTENCE OF SATAN

We believe in a real being called Satan, the enemy of God and the believer. (1 Peter 5:8-9)

WE BELIEVE IN HELL

We believe in a literal hell for those who reject the work of Christ. (Luke 16:19-31; Matthew 25:46)

WE BELIEVE IN HEAVEN

We believe in a literal heaven where God, the angels, and the redeemed dwell. (John 3:5; Heb. 12:23)

WE BELIEVE IN THE CREATION OF MAN

God created man in His image; but man sinned, and we all inherit a fallen nature. (Psalm 51; Rom. 5)

WE BELIEVE IN SALVATION

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ, not by works. The believer is eternally secure in Him. (Eph. 2:8-9; John 3:16-18)

WE BELIEVE IN REGENERATION

Regeneration is the work of the Holy Spirit that gives life to the sinner. (John 3; 2 Cor. 5:17)

WE BELIEVE IN SANCTIFICATION

A divine and progressive work of the Holy Spirit that conforms us to Christ. (Phil. 2:12-13)

WE BELIEVE IN THE CHURCH

We believe in the Church, the body of Christ, and in the local church as a place of worship, fellowship, and service. (1 Cor. 12:13; Acts 2:41-42)

WE BELIEVE IN BAPTISM

Baptism by immersion is a symbol of identification with the death and resurrection of Christ. (Rom. 6:3-5)

WE BELIEVE IN THE LORD’S SUPPER

The Lord’s Supper proclaims His death until He comes. (1 Cor. 11)

WE BELIEVE IN THE SECOND COMING OF CHRIST

Christ will return visibly and gloriously for His Church. (1 Thess. 4:13-18)

WE BELIEVE IN SEPARATION

Believers are called to live separated from the world’s system and reflect the spiritual fruit of Christ.
