OUR JOURNEY IN FAITH

Beginning our journey of faith in God requires immersing ourselves in His Word (Romans 10:17; 1 Peter 2:2). We must learn about His love, His righteousness, His mercy, and His plan. It is also necessary to build a relationship with Him, to know Him personally through His Son Jesus Christ (John 17:3).

We must ask Him to reveal Himself to us and transform our lives. The Bible promises that if we seek God, we will find Him (Matthew 7:7). And if we allow Him to work in us, He will make us new people who are able to understand His will (Romans 12:2).

This means being willing to die to our old nature and put aside the pride and selfishness that for so long kept us away from Him.

As God transforms us, we learn to develop the fruit of the Holy Spirit (Galatians 5:22-23; John 14:17). When we walk guided by the Spirit and allow Him to lead our lives, our trust in Him grows stronger.

“Rooted and built up in Him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness.” — Colossians 2:7
